Three Stars to Ravens vs Chiefs

Kansas City (3-0) wins their 10th straight game in September with a 33-28 victory at home over a tenacious Baltimore Ravens (2-1) group that played aggressively for all four quarters.

The Chiefs went head to head with their toughest test of 2019 thus far and piled up 503 yards with their rocket-powered offense that continues to blow away defenses.

The Chiefs defense also came up big in the first half, limiting Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson to just 75-yard passing.

Here are the Chiefs Now 3 Stars of the Game.

FIRST STAR: Patrick Mahomes

Stats: 27/37, 374 YDS, 3 TDs

The First Star of the game is without a doubt, Patrick Mahomes, who continues to lead the charge in Kansas City’s rocket-powered offense.

Following a slow start in the first quarter, Mahomes dialed it up in the second with more deep bombs that we’ve become accustomed to seeing from him including an incredible 18-yard pass that Demarcus Robinson caught one-handed for a score and an 83-yard bomb to Mecole Hardman to put the Chiefs up 20-6 late in the first half.

Mahomes now already owns three career passing records for most passing yards (6,576), passing touchdowns (60) and passer rating (115.3), all in just 20 games.

Through three games this year, Mahomes has already thrown for 1,195 yards and 10 touchdowns.

SECOND STAR: LeSean McCoy

Stats: Rushing – 8 ATT, 54 YDS, TD

Receiving – 3 REC, 26 YDS, TD

The Second Star of the game belongs to LeSean McCoy, who many weren’t sure if he was going to play after dealing with a minor ankle injury all week during practice. McCoy stepped up against the league’s best defense, contributing 80 yards and scoring his first pair of scores on the ground and through the air. McCoy re-tweaked his ankle late in the second half, but Head Coach Andy Reid said he doesn’t think it’s anything serious.

THIRD STAR: Emmanuel Ogbah

Stats: 1 TKL, 1 AST, 1.5 SCK for 12.5 YDS, 1 TFL, 3 QBH, 1 PD

Ogbah is the Third Star after having his best game of the season thus far. Going up against the elusive Lamar Jackson, Ogbah was able to consistently get after him and registered a sack and a half and 3 QB hits. He provided pressure all game long and even deflected a pass at the line of scrimmage.
