Official: Chiefs announce Training Camp will return to St. Joe

The Kansas City Chiefs have officially announced on Wednesday afternoon that Chiefs Training Camp will return to Missouri Western State College in St. Joseph, Missouri, late next month. The event will also be open to fans once again.

Last season, the club was forced to shut down their annual trip to St. Jo due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, having to keep training camp operations in Kansas City and away from the public.

This year, the team has announced the dates and times for all practices, which will begin Wednesday, July 28, and end on Wednesday, August 18. 

Every practice will be free to the public except for the following practice days: Missouri Western will charge a $5 admission fee on Friday, July 30; Saturday, July 31; and Sunday, August 8. Kansas City will also host two exclusive Season Ticket Member Days, which will be open to season ticket holders only, on Wednesday, July 28, and Tuesday, August 10.

Missouri Western is charging a $5 parking fee per vehicle per day, except for the season-ticket member days the Chiefs will be hosting. For fan’s convenience, cash is accepted. 

New for the 2021 season, the Chiefs announced that fans will need to reserve their training camp tickets ahead of time by logging onto www.chiefskingdomrewards.com. To provide the best fan experience possible, attendance at each practice session will be limited. Fans who are not season ticket holders will need to sign up for a Chiefs Kingdom Rewards account to reserve their tickets. 

Fans can begin reserving their tickets at 10 a.m. on July 7 but will be limited to a maximum of four tickets, per practice and a maximum of three separate practices this season. However, fans will have the opportunity to attend Paid practice days, which will require advance payment to reserve tickets. Reservations for Paid practice and Season Ticket Member dates will not count towards the three practice maximum. Additionally, all tickets will be mobile entry only.

Unfortunately for fans, due to the NFL protocols, getting close to players and receiving autographs will not be allowed.  

The Chiefs will begin their first Training Camp practice at 9:15 a.m. on July 28th. Kansas City’s complete 2021 Training Camp schedule is listed below.
