Injury Update: Hill and Williams return to practice

Official Chiefs reporter B.J. Kissel reports wide receiver Tyreek Hill and running back Damien Williams returned to practice on Wednesday, per Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid. As of now, there’s no word on if either player will play against Indianapolis on Sunday Night at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be getting two of their playmakers back in the very near future as Tyreek Hill returns to the practice field after missing the first quarter of Kansas City’s 2019 campaign with a shoulder injury he sustained at the beginning of the season against Jacksonville. Starting running back Damien Williams also returns after battling knee issues that have kept him on and off the field since the start of training camp.

Reid also said Eric Fisher will continue to be held out of practice and linebacker Dorian O’Daniel will join him on the sideline today with a hamstring injury, according to Chiefs Digest’s Matt Derrick.

While there’s no guarantee that either Hill or Williams will suit up against the Colts this weekend, seeing them return to practice in some capacity is a step in the right direction.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes also spoke to the media in regards to Hill’s return and says he doesn’t expect it to take long for him and the cheetah to get re-acclimated in the passing game and he expects Tyreek to be back very soon.
