Former Bills WR Andre Reeds gives rant following AFC Championship

The ending of the AFC Championship left members of the Bills Mafia in a frenzy after they watched their beloved Buffalo Bills lose to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs for the fourth time in five years.

The Bills managed to tie the game at 29 apiece late in the fourth quarter, but Harrison Butker’s 35-yard field goal and Kansas City’s defense slammed the door on any kind of Bills rally to preserve a 32-29 victory.

Last week on an episode of The Jim Rome Show, legendary Buffalo Bills wide receiver Andre Reed spoke to host Jim Rome about the outcome of the game and claimed the Bills had to do more than just beat the Chiefs.

“The bottom line is you just gotta go out there and not play against the refs, but you kind of are at a certain point; a lot of Chiefs are going to tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about. That might be the case,” said Reed. “But when you go into Kansas City, you gotta beat a lot of people. You gotta beat the team. You gotta beat the fans. You gotta beat the refs. You gotta beat Taylor Swift. You gotta beat everybody. If you go out there and throw that all out the window and beat Kansas City at their own game, and beat them, that all is never gonna be said. We didn’t do that.”

Reed’s comments aren’t far off from anyone else who might be tired of the Chiefs winning so much. In Buffalo’s case, Reed – and Bills fans alike – was hoping to see his team make the Super Bowl for the first since the early ’90s.

Reed was a part of those Bills teams that made the Super Bowl four consecutive times and lost all of them.
