Divisional Round Injury Report: Clyde Edwards-Helaire WILL PLAY vs Buffalo

The Kansas City Chiefs released their final injury report for the week going into the weekend. They will welcome the Buffalo Bills to Arrowhead Stadium for the Divisional Round of the postseason.

The report mainly consisted of good news for the Chiefs, and running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is at the top of the list. CEH is expected to play on Sunday after missing the last three games due to a shoulder injury he sustained on December 26 against Pittsburgh. His return comes at a perfect time with backup rusher Darrel Williams a limited participant in Friday’s practice with a toe injury.

Williams did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday and is questionable for Sunday.

CEH started in ten games during the regular season and finished 2021 with 119 carries for 517 (4.3 yds/gm avg), four rushing touchdowns, 19 receptions for 129 receiving yards, and two TDs.

Kansas City will also have linebacker Willie Gay on the field for Sunday despite his arrest earlier this week for breaking a vacuum due to an argument he got into with his son’s mother while visiting. Gay was charged with a misdemeanor offense for damaging property totaling less than $1,000.

This, of course, is excellent news for the Chiefs. Gay is a core piece in the middle of Steve Spagnuolo’s defense, wracking up 48 tackles in 12 games during the regular season.
