Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce is being recognized for his Eighty-Seven and Running charity and his partnership with Operation Breakthrough. He is the club’s nominee for the Walter Peyton Man of the Year award. Kelce’s movement helps underserved youth strive to become productive citizens by mentoring and motivating them to explore and develop their abilities while learning critical life skills.
Voting for the event ends on January 6, with the winner being announced at the NFL honors ceremony on February 9. The winner of the award will receive a $35,000 donation to his respective charity and the second and third-place votes will receive donations of $10,000 and $5,000.
The total votes for the award are periodically tracked and updated on NFL.com. As of the day after Christmas, the Chiefs’ all-pro tight end is currently the front-runner for the award.
Kelce is followed closely by Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (2nd place), Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham (3rd place), Washington Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner (4th place), and Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins (5th place).
Kelce was last nominated for the Walter Peyton Man of the Year, but did not win the award.
