Chiefs terminate practice squad contracts of two d-linemen

The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t finished adjusting their practice squad before they begin to prepare for their Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept 5. On Saturday evening, general manager Brett Veach decided the fate of two Kansas City Chiefs practice team players.

The Chiefs made it official on their Twitter account that they added running back Emani Bailey and defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu and terminated the practice squad contracts with defensive linemen Matt Dickerson and Neil Farrell.

Emani Bailey was an undrafted free agent the Chiefs picked up out of TCU following the 2024 NFL Draft. He was initially waived by the Chiefs during final cuts after spending all offseason with the club. Tuipulotu is a former sixth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles from 2021 but was released by the team after appearing in 28 games after three seasons.

Kansas City waived two defensive linemen who were part of the club’s Super Bowl run last season. Farrell was picked up by the Chiefs before the start of the 2023 regular season after his one-year stint with the Las Vegas Raiders. Dickerson played in 12 games, registering 15 tackles last season.
