Chiefs sign USFL wide receiver Devin Gray

The Kansas City Chiefs added another wide receiver on Saturday, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Devin Gray, 27, last spent the last three months playing the inaugural season of the United States Football League as a member of the Philadelphia Stars. Gray helped the Stars achieve a 6-4 record before making a deep postseason to the USFL’s first Championship game.

Gray caught 26 passes for 215 yards and two scores in nine games.

Gray first entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2018 with the Atlanta Falcons. He remained on Atlanta’s practice squad through the 2020 campaign before getting waived by the team. In 2021, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens and remained on their practice squad before shifting gears to the United States Football League.

In April 2022, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Stars in the 13th round.

A corresponding roster move is expected to be made by the Chiefs in order to add Gray to the active roster.
