Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes becomes the fastest to defeat 31 NFL clubs

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, improving the club’s regular season record to 4-1 and putting some distance between them and the other three divisional foes in the AFC West.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes finished the contest 31 of 41 for 281 yards passing and two touchdowns. The reigning league MVP has rewritten the record books since he first entered the league in 2017 and joined a new club of elite passers that have previously accomplished a similar feat.

After defeating the Vikings 27-20, Mahomes became one of ten quarterbacks before him to beat all 31 of the other NFL teams. He is the first signal caller to do it before the age of 30.

Wins in the NFL are never a given, but Mahomes has managed to find success no matter who’s lined up across from him, and he’s rarely lost to the same opponent more than once in a single season. Only the Chiefs remain as the lone team that’s never fallen to Mahomes, which hopefully never happens if Kansas City has anything to say about it.

Mahomes has a list of other accolades he’s achieved over the years. A few highlights include leading his team and hosting the AFC Championship five consecutive times, leading the Chiefs to three Super Bowls (winning two of them), being a two-time league MVP and Super Bowl MVP, being the fastest to throw for 25,000 career passing yards (83 games), and being the fastest to throw 200 career touchdowns (84 games).
