Chiefs’ Hollywood Brown is expected to make debut vs. Houston

The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for their WR1 to make his Chiefs debut after being on IR for nearly four months.

Hollywood Brown returns to the lineup on Saturday when the Chiefs host the Houston Texans. Brown’s been on Kansas City’s IR list since he suffered a sternoclavicular joint injury in the preseason.

On Thursday, head coach Andy Reid announced to reporters Brown looked great in practice and is expected to play this weekend.

“Yeah, there’s a good chance [he plays],” said Reid.

“[Hollywood Brown’s] done a nice job [in practice]. I mentioned earlier just about (how) it wasn’t his legs, so he’s been able to run and keep himself in running shape,” Reid explained. “But the rest of it where the surgery wasn’t at, looked good and [he] was doing fine.”

The Chiefs offense has played lethargic for most of the season. But adding Hollywood should give Kansas City what it needs just in time for the push for home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs.
