Chiefs-Browns Final Week 15 Injury Report: Butker QUESTIONABLE for Sunday

The Kansas City Chiefs released its final injury report on Friday before the team gets set to travel to Huntington Bank Field for a clash against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday (Dec. 15).

The Chiefs saw two of their star players finally return from injury this week. Both kicker Harrison Butker (knee) and wide receiver Hollywood Brown (shoulder) missed significant time this season but have begun their three-week practice window to come off the team’s Reserve/Injury list.

Kansas City had six total players on their injury report for Week 15. Defensive end Charles Omenihu (knee) and cornerback Josh Williams (chest) practiced in full this week and should play for Kansas City on Sunday.

Jawaan Taylor’s knee problems limited him on Wednesday, but he participated fully for the rest of the week. The team expects him to start at right tackle. At left tackle, the Chiefs got some bad news regarding new acquisition D.J. Humphries.

The veteran o-lineman did not partake in practice this week after suffering a hamstring injury in his Chiefs debut last Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. It is doubtful that he will play this week which means Wanya Morris will likely be tasked with blocking standout defensive end Chase Young.

On Friday, Hollywood Brown started practicing, but the coaching staff will not rush his return to game action. The veteran wideout is not expecting to suit up for the Chiefs for at least another week.

However, head coach Andy Reid said it’s not out of the question for Harrison Butker to return to the lineup and kick for Kansas City. Although the eighth-year veteran’s first week of practice was limited after his injury, Butker’s availability against the Browns is questionable, and his playing status will likely be a game-time decision on Sunday.

If Butker can’t get the start, then the Chiefs will have to rely on backup Matt Wright, who kicked a game-winning field goal last week against the Chargers.
