Byron Pringle signed by the Chicago Bears

Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Byron Pringle is head to Chicago. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported the product from Kansas State has agreed to a one-year deal with the Bears on Thursday evening.

Pringle’s representatives, the Kats brothers, told Rapoport the deal is $4 million fully guaranteed with an extra $2 million in incentives.

Pringle, 28, is coming off a break-out season in 2021, where he recorded 42 catches for 568 yards and five touchdowns. His best games from last season occurred in Week 16 against the Pittsburgh Steelers when he made six receptions for 75 yards and two scores to help lead the Chiefs a dominating 36-10 victory.

After two collegiate seasons with the Kansas State Wildcats, Pringle entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2018 with the Kansas City Chiefs. Pringle spent his rookie on injured reserve after sustaining an injury in the final preseason game that year. In 2019, he made the active roster and helped the team go on their historic run to win the Super Bowl. He became a reliable depth piece for the Chiefs every year since.

In three seasons with the Chiefs, Pringle tallied 67 catches for 898 yards and seven touchdowns.
